Yeti U-16 Select Team (Rising Freshman & Sophomore)
Practices for the Yeti Freshman/Sophomore team will take place at Northview Elementary School in Eagan. Please be on time for all practices.
The Rising Sophomore Yeti time is Minnesota's oldest and best opportunity for young high school players to improve their game and become a complete player.
Coming off 4 successful seasons in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009
including:
- 2006 Great Lakes Invitational Winners
- 2007 1st place finish in the Dick’s Midwest Cup
- 2007 4th place finish in the highly regarded Notre Dame Midwest Sophomore Challenge.
- 2008 Consolation bracket winners at the Notre Dame Midwest Sophomore Challenge.
- 2009 runner-up at Tri-State Lacrosse Festival.
The 2010 Minnesota Yeti will once again be presenting Minnesota lacrosse to a national audience! The estimated cost for the 2010 Yeti U-16 team is $2400.
The Yeti will be playing a schedule of local games and national tournaments this summer as outlined below.
Coaches
Tony Mattia, (Coach, Eagan HS) and Casey Mithun (Minnesota-Duluth All-American). Coach Mattia will be entering his 5th season with the Yeti and Coach Mithun will be returning after a very successful first summer in 2009.

Brewtown Shootout (Milwaukee, WI) June 25th – 27th
Tri-State Lacrosse Festival (Mercer County/Princeton, NJ) July 9th - 11th
Notre Dame Midwest Sophomore Challenge (South Bend, IN) July 23th - 25th Plus a schedule of summer HS league games
